Need a copy of an existing Ejari certificate? This page explains the self-service route and our assisted retrieval option. Downloading a certificate is different from registering or renewing a tenancy.
You’ll need your Ejari certificate for a visa, DEWA, a bank, a school or a rental dispute — and it’s easy to misplace.
You can download your certificate yourself for free in the Dubai REST app, under “My Contracts.” If you can’t find it, don’t have the number, or need it quickly, we retrieve a copy for you — from AED 149, same day.
The DLD certificate-download page asks for your Ejari contract number and a choice of property identifiers: the DEWA premise number, or the municipality number and sub number. Choose the option you have and complete the verification shown on the official form. If the lookup returns no match, check the inputs before deciding what to do next. An unsuccessful search does not, by itself, establish that the tenancy was never registered.
Optional help: If you need help locating an existing certificate, use the retrieval service. If you need the current record checked, choose status support. The desk will confirm the documents, available route and applicable fee before proceeding.
Registered, but no copy: keep the registration reference and use the official access route above. Check that you are looking at the correct property and tenancy period.
Application still blocked: save the application reference and the exact message. The next step depends on the stated reason, not simply on requesting another download.
New tenancy or renewal: if the relevant registration has not been completed, choose the filing route for the current tenancy.
